Learn the ABCs of Shabbat Services, Jewish Synagogue!
Ever wonder about the artwork, décor and ritual objects that are unique to a Jewish synagogue? You’ll have an opportunity to find out at during our annual Learners’ Shabbat on Friday, March 13 at 6:30 pm.
This will be a regular Friday night Shabbat service led by Rabbi Leah Julian that will feature the basics of how a Jewish service operates and the CBH sanctuary’s unique artwork and symbolic objects such as the Ark, eternal light and Torah. It’s an opportunity to ask questions and also learn how an architect transformed a former Protestant Church into a Jewish Synagogue that is Congregation Bet Haverim.
Sponsored by the CBH Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee, the Learners’ Shabbat is an ideal for interfaith families, the friends and loved ones of those who are Jewish, and those who are curious about unique features of a Jewish synagogue.
Everyone is welcome! Join in person in the Congregation Bet Haverim sanctuary or log in via Zoom.
