Simchat Torah means “rejoicing in the Torah” and that’s exactly what we’ll do. We will have an abbreviated Friday night Shabbat service in which we will read the very last words from the Book of Deuteronomy at the end of the Torah and start the scroll all over again with reading the first few verses of the Book of Genesis.
All are welcome to join us following the service for a festive oneg complete with the Davis Klezmer Orchestra! The Davis Klezmer Orchestra is well known for their energetic and soulful klezmer and Romanian renditions and Israeli dances using the fiddle, viola, accordion, cello, bass, and drums.
